Tom, To invest in SFN an investor needs to understand SFN's place in Mexico.

Serfin is Mexico's 3rd largest bank. If SFN would fold it would create panic in Mexico therefore you can place your bets that the Mexican government would not allow SFN to go under.

Remember that Mexico is no USA. They along with most Latin American countries have a long history of believing that government intervention is a solution instead of allowing the market to take care of the problem.

If you want to look at ratios, accounting etc of SFN go an invest in something else.
