In this case VON stands for Very Old News.

T's inside position has been thus for over a year, and their public declaration, just in case anyone wasn't listening clearly, was made by Armstrong back in February when he lifted any and all doubts about T's intentions to vigorously enter the world of VoIP, for the world to hear. They have since put a number of cities on line in pilot runs using VoIP platforms and prepaid billing systems to support them.
