my guess is the revenue recognition is more conservative; in stages, as implementation (or acceptance) goes forward. this is based on broad change of policies in software industry as reflected by informix etc. however i do think ross started implementing some of these changes a while ago and resukts of those changes should already be flowing thru pipeline. this recollection not fact.
