The best answer to the health care mess:
Allow the creation of tax-free savings accounts. Income is placed into the accounts for the sole purpose of paying for ANY medical need or occurrence. Insurance is still allowed, if you choose to purchase it. Employing the savings account is purely voluntary, as is purchasing insurance. HMO's (Hillary's bastard stepchildren) are also perfectly legit...should doctors choose to join them (right now, most doctors don't have much real choice in the matter).
Doctors should be allowed to set their own rates...unless HMOs they belong to set the rates for them...then they have a contractual arrangement.
The government DIDN'T solve the health care "mess" (I didn't see a mess...did anyone else?), it was in the process of solving itself.
What country has the best medicine...so much so that other countries' leaders come here or have doctors flown to them? What country's medicine is so efficient that the much vaunted "Canadian System" ships a large % of their patients to be treated there?

That's right - the US! Who says the market screwed up medicine. Still looks good to me, even in its current state.
