SYMMETRY RESOURCES INC. announces the following appointments effective July
1, 1998:

Mr. Paul D. Jackson, P.Geoph. to Vice President Exploration. Mr. Jackson
previously held the position of Manager, Geophysics with Symmetry.

Mr. John M.A. van Schyndel, P.Eng. to Vice President Operations. Mr. van
Schyndel was Manager, Production for Symmetry prior to this appointment.

Mr. Giovanni B. DeFrancesco to Vice President Corporate Development. Mr.
DeFrancesco previously held the position of Vice President Operations with
the Company.

Symmetry Resources Inc. is an Alberta based corporation engaged in the
business of exploring for, developing and acquiring oil and gas properties in
the Provinces of Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan.
