I agree. People unwilling to listen to, and consider, opinions differing from their own are cheating themselves of the opportunity to make a truly informed decision. I am alarmed by the propensity of so many here to *click* on messages from "bashers". What are they afraid of?

I'm also astonished by the number of quite conciliatory PMs I get from people who are extremely hostile to me online. They ask perfectly civil questions, sometimes express doubts about "their" stock. But sadly they seem not to have the nerve to go against group pressure on the threads.

Off topic, I suppose: I'm surprised that you say that you never short. Do you mean you never short in the classic sense, or that you never even buy puts? As a market maker, I'd think that playing either side of potential trades would seem to you a normal thing...
