Sorry Eugene, I didn't really pay attention to which modem was used. The video results turned me off to it (my concern was video) and the person from BA was not really pushing it so I really didn't pay much attention to it. Plus, it really omly worked over an ATM network and my school system is on frame relay so even if it worked well it probably wouldn't be compatible for us for several years.

I honestly don't think ADSL has any future for delivering multiple video channels over COPPER and I don't think BA is really think that direction. Let's face it, many BA folks question whether all, or even a majority, of the copper lines can handle's US Robotic's 56K modems, yet ADSL. BA's long term dream is, and always has always has been, fiber. Period. Everything else, including MMDS and LMDS, are just short-term bridges until fiber is deployed to the curb. Their problem is that this "short term" bridge is 10 plus years; they have problems admidting that to themselves.

I believe that the LMDS auctions start this month sometime. I'll have the re-check that though; it has been a while since I thought about it.

The stuff in the summary of the lawsuit claiming that the MMDS technology does not work correctly really concerns me. I'll call some techs at CAWS today and see if this is really true.
