Petaquilla will pay off BIG in the years to come. Enron knows it. Teck knows it. Copper market will dictate timetable, but payoff is assured, IMO. Teck and Enron are happy with their investment. I am happy with mine. This will be a $10-15 minimum (although I like the number 44 -- for stocks and guns) within 3-4 years, I believe. We should get a little "extra" juice (read that property) in the short-term, but I could care less. I hold for Petaquilla. It is going nowhere. It sleeps and waits for its time. I will continue to buy little by little as impatient others sell little by little to me.
From annual report:
"In addition, the project legislation provides for a 60 year concession and includes substantial tax exemptions on income, dividends, and imports."
". . . the project's total after-tax cash flow is US$2.1 billion . . ."
" . . . a number of opportunities which are not included in its main financial analysis."
" . . . to increase the project's net present value . . . to US$510 million, add an additional US$991 million in net cash flow . . ."
I remain,(patient and smiling)
SOROS
