Robert, Great post. Good use of taxpayer dollars. I think the Air Force.....being as mobile as they are...will order hardcases as standard equipment under Desktop V. They are cheap.....do what they are designed to do.....and act as a brief case also. By the way....Add United Airlines to the list of airlines limiting carry-on bags to 2.....I believe that makes it industry wide......2 carry on bags. The business traveler will need a briefcase/laptop case. From United Airlines website...... You've probably heard that we're enforcing the carry-on policy. Well, here are the rules. Each passenger may carry on, without charge, the following articles: handbag/purse, overcoat/wrap, umbrella/walking stick, camera/binoculars, reasonable amount of reading material and infant's food for consumption en route. A carry-on bag must fit under your seat (SIZE: 9" x 14" x 22" / WEIGHT: not to exceed 50 pounds). There is a two-piece maximum limit for carry-on baggage. Winter brings not only the snow and the cold, but also those bulky, long coats. These need to be stored in the overhead compartments. Plan to use the space under your seat for baggage and the overhead compartment for your coat and other light articles. Limiting the number and size of your carry-ons helps us leave on time, which means you get to where you're going on time. bg ps. Let your god-sons know that some think BANY is worth $8 to $10 Million right now. Can they do math?
