Thread off track??

I'm interested in debating the workability of the Second Amendment,
not gun control per se. Can we get back on track?

So, lets say it's a given that the populace is armed.
How is that going to ensure the security of a free state today?

I'm particularly interested in what turboe, LT et al have to say about the level of arms a citizen might wish to maintain. For example, what level is needed to fend of the National Guard when they come knocking on my door? If this is an unreasonable question, please explain why.

I'm an advocate for weapons training. I'm appalled at the implied level of ignorance about basic weapon capability displayed by some on this thread. I believe the solution is thorough and on-going training. No-one has commented on my suggestions from earlier posts. Check 'em out.

I'm listening....
