To: Zeev Hed (Post #6452) and Jack Smith (Post # 6456)
First, to Zeev's question as to the air and water permits. Zeev, I am not an ECO-type, but my understanding is that the mill has the necessary water permits already. Air permits will require them to apply for a permit once they get into production and the EPA can measure what and how much they are discharging. According to what Russell tells me, it's pretty benign compared to many gold mining operations, because they use no cyanide or arsenic.
Jack, I have no firm idea as to their chances, but based on the above, I would not think they're going to have too many problems getting the furnace permit. The mill is equipped with scrubbers afterall which they may not even need, but they would have been required if they continued to use lead as a collector.
Onto the topic of the night. The price action today was amazing and totally mind boggling. Most of the large blocks and the majority of the volume appears to have been on the been on the buy side, yet it gets whacked (Lizzie Borden's back???) 28%. If someone has an in, or knowledge of SEC regulations, it might be worth having that august body of souls look into today's trading because it makes no sense whatever assuming the company press releases are true. If they aren't true then the SEC ought to know, in my opinion.
Regards (and good night to all) -- (I'm depressed beyond further communication this evening.
