ICOM does seem to be a compelling short. Especially when they commit outright falsehoods in their PR.

Compare this from today's press release, particularly the last sentence:

"The preferred stock was priced at $9.082, subject to being reset to the common stock's five day
average trading price in approximately mid-August 1998, has no voting rights, and has a 4% annual
dividend rate payable at conversion in additional shares of common stock, or cash at the option of
the Company. Its terms prohibit holders from engaging in short sales of the Company's common
stock."

with this from yesterday's 8-K filing:

" The holders of the Series D Preferred Stock and their affiliates have
agreed to not engage in any short sales of the Company's Common Stock, other
than for sales on the date a conversion notice is submitted entitling the holder
to receive the number of shares of Common Stock at least equal to the number of
shares sold."

Aint't quite the same thing, is it?
