Larry, I think it's one of those silly ideas put forth by O'Neil. I believe the best way to invest is to view your money as an investment in the business, not a bet on a stock. The answers to more germane questions ought to guide your investment decisions, like: Where will Dell's profits and sales be five years from now? Is there sufficient cash flow to fund growth? What will the competitive landscape look like in a few years?

If you like the company don't try to time the market -- it's a losing proposition. Just buy and forget the daily price fluctuations.
