John & All,

I would like to know more about this new part of LSI, insomuch as what this new partner means for LSI going forward.....any comments are welcome.

Just to get started, here are some leading companies into massive storage:

Symbios- excellent technology
Storage Computer
Storage Tech
Network Appliance- network attached storage
HDS- excellent technology
MTI
Box Hill- fiber channel technology

These [so I am told] are of the same caliber as Symbios. I assume that LSI will now be providing ASICs for Symbios. What else can we expect from this relationship?

Any information from the techs to help investors better understand all of this would be very welcome.
