I don't know about any Sprint deployments. Just announcements. OTOH, all indications
are that AT&T has already deployed ASND ATM and is starting to move the IP traffic
off the Cisco legacy router network onto IP Navigator.


I had a teleconference with AT&T yesterday. The Ascend switches have been deployed in their backbone, and are being used for multiservice transport, including for IP traffic. As far as IP Navigator, they haven't decided yet. I take it the jury is still out. I have had talks with about a dozen ISP's, and no one is using IP Navigator, at least not yet. My impression is the software is still immature and not ready for prime time.
