Cholestrak interest? I watch the stock of Cholestrak at our local supermarket closely for the past 6 months. Yesterday the product was sold out - again. The interest in Cholestrak is definitely out there. I would say that our supermarket sells out about once a month. My guess is that they are still fine tuning their purchasing volume. Personally, I think that with the right marketing approach, Cholestrak sales will continue to increase.

Remember the FDA application for theophylline test kits? Chemtrak still plans to go ahead with resubmitting the paperwork for US OTC sales. And Japan's Jokoh should receive approval from its ministry of health in mid 1997.

Here are some other positives.... Chemtrak recently started shipping Cholestrak to Helena Labs of Canada, and Hp Chek to Astra Merck. Astra Merck will begin distributing the test kits in early 97.

That's about it. The information above is based on conversations w/ some folks at Chemtrak and are my interpretations. Stay positive! There is light at the end of the tunnel for CMTR and it ain't a train coming the other way.
