I disagree - market makers cannot depress a bid level artificially if buyers want the stock more than owners are willing to release their shares at depressed prices. If market makers are building inventory or covering shorts at depressed prices they cannot do so unless sellers are willing to release shares at the same market levels. There are no hobgoblins here - those who are selling do not anticipate the rise in value to occur in the next few trading days that many others expect. Instead of complaining about it, take advantage of these low prices and buy more while you still can!!
