Interface Systems Names New VPs of Marketing, Engineering ANN ARBOR, Mich., July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Interface Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: INTF - news) today announced the appointments of Robert F. Granger as vice president of Marketing and Richard B. Sheridan as vice president of Engineering. The appointments were effective as of June 4, 1998.
''With these new appointments, our executive team has gained two very knowledgeable, experienced and talented individuals,'' said Bob Nero, president and CEO of Interface. ''In the months leading up to these promotions, both Bob and Rich have been working closely with Interface's Board of Directors to sharpen the company's corporate strategy and develop innovative ways to leverage our existing expertise into new markets. They have also been instrumental in helping steer the execution of our marketing and product development initiatives.''
Granger and Sheridan will report directly to Nero.

Granger comes to Interface from HUBLink, where he served as vice president of Sales from 1995 until joining Interface in November of 1997. At HUBLink, Granger was responsible for the management of all activities for North American sales relating to HUBLink's message brokering middleware product. From 1992 to 1995, Granger served as an account executive with Legent Corporation, overseeing that company's training and professional services in the Information Technology Division. Granger has also held sales and marketing positions with Information Dimensions, Price Waterhouse, Citicorp Information Services, and ADP Network Services. Granger holds a B.A. degree from the University of Toledo in Business Administration. He began his career in 1977 as a territory manager with Burroughs (now Unisys).
Sheridan began his career in 1980 as a software engineer with Ann Arbor- based Manufacturing Data Systems Inc. (MDSI), a subsidiary of Schlumberger, Inc., a vendor of CAD/CAM software. In 1984, Sheridan joined Winterhalter Inc., which was acquired by Interface in 1986 and became a key part of the company's Cleo(TM) product line. Sheridan served as development manager for Cleo from 1986 until 1996, when he was promoted to director of Engineering, a position he held until his most recent appointment as vice president of Engineering. Sheridan holds both a B.S. and M.S. degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan.
