HI Jeff. Unfortunately I can't make it this year. I do wonder however, is Camelot going to be there?
I understand that they had their $500,000.00 dollar castle at Comdex. I guess they were trying to defray the cost by selling Digiphone at the price of $10 for 2 licenses. Sounds like somebody is getting desperate doesn't it. Also there was no sign nor discussion of the new codec from Lucent that they supposedly purchased the rights to use. Actually they had absolutely nothing new to offer. While everyone else had third or fourth generation software, Danny had the same old "stone axes and bone knives" woefully inadequate product from the stone age of VON to offer.
I also heard that they were dropping the price of the "shrinkwrap" retail version of Digiphone to $29.
BTW they were selling from the floor at COMDEX as well...another sign of an unethical group of scofflaws...this is strictly forbidden by the contract for exhibiting...
Well I wonder what this means?? I would guess that they do not have the resources to incorporate the new codec... they cannot sell Digiphone, so they attempt to basically give it away... and finally, you can not trust these people to perform in any sort of socially acceptable manner. Heck, Danny told a friend of mine, who happens to be female and a principal in one of the companies that competes with him, " why don't you stay at home and have babies, and leave the business world to the capable ones"... what a sleaze bag!!
Well Jeff, if Camelot is going to attend your conference, keep an eye on them, and any women that you don't want insulted should also be discouraged from going anywhere near their booth.
Now all of you other folks...run right out and invest in this wonderful failing company, with an antiquated product that they have to GIVE away, that consitently loses money... run by such a fine upstanding humanoid...
BTW, Tim...I didn't see much of a bump in the stock price due to anything done at COMDEX!! Of course there is little wonder at this...they didn't have anything to offer. |
