I think you are right about "terrific EPS momentum."

I outsmarted myself by writing calls on 2/3 my position, then closed that out with a nice profit when VISX fell a couple of weeks ago to 43 but, (this is where I really got too cute) then sold the calls again on the Dec 50s for $15. They likely will be called away.

I used the call premium to buy some LVCI.

Too much time on my hands : )
