Thomas, Wonderful story! It's even better the second time, although the cockroaches are growing. If I hadn't lived with some of those good ol' boys our first summer here, I'd think you were exaggerating. Thomas' fish story. ("He was thi-i-sssss big, but he got away....")
You should have kept one, had it stuffed and hung it over the mantel, a trophy any Texan would admire. Heck, you could have stuffed it that night with leftover Purina and hung it over your toilet to impress visiting girlfriends. I hope you at least carved the date of this great battle in the wall.
