IHI Helps Special Olympics Set Fundraising Record

RALEIGH, N.C. July 1 /PRNewswire/ -- International Heritage, Incorporated (IHI) (NASDAQ:IHIN) helped Special Olympics of South Carolina raise a record $41,000 at an auction and golf tournament on Sunday, June 28 and Monday, June 29 in Columbia, South Carolina. Dave Almeida, Development Officer for Special Olympics of South Carolina, reports that the amount raised this year grew substantially by $16,000 over last year's event. IHI, the presenting sponsor of the auction and tournament, supported the event through participation from Sales Representatives, employees and Company Chairman Stan Van Etten, who emceed the auction held at the Adam's Mark Hotel in Columbia on
Sunday evening.

"Special Olympics is known worldwide for their humanitarian efforts and we are ecstatic to share the record success of this year's event," said Van Etten of the event.

Proceeds from the Special Olympics Golf Shootout benefit the training and development of special athletes for regional and world games. Special Olympics was named "Most Credible Charity in America" by the Chronicle of Philanthropy in 1997.
