Some of you who've been listening to me rant and rave for a while on this thread have heard me say this before. I work with a gentleman who was a specialist for over 20 years on the floors of the NYSE, AMEX, CBOE, etc. He owned seats on all of these exchanges and it is from this person that I gain my market knowledge. Every time I begin to complain about a stock dropping on no volume he reminds me every time..."stocks go up on big volume, drop on little volume." This is no great observation but it is true every day. Even when the market as a whole drops it's on 550mm shares yet it takes almost 700mm to make it run up big. It's most true in stocks. It'll take 1mm shares to get MRVC up 3 points. But it could drop a point or more on only 20-30 thousand. Good luck...
