A.L. While I'm a bear with respect to the market as a whole, particularly with respect to the area in which I normally do "my thing" (the tech sector), a few of my more resource-oriented contacts on Bay Street have piqued my interest in NAR. To that end I have been poking around a bit (actually a lot), and so far, like what I see. "Big picture", I like the fact that the whole sector has been beaten up (courtesy of Bri-ex) and that money is starting to build up on the sidelines, looking for real opportunities. I also like the fact that Falconbridge is and has been involved in the project from the beginning and that it is calling the exploration shots. That company's involvement negates any shenanigans, their past "finds" are well known and their continuing interest in this property suggests that their people think they are on to something big. The telephone conference call of last week provided some clues as to why Falconbridge maintains its interest (I listened to it in its entirety) and as to why it has recommended an accelerated drill program. Their enthusiasm was obvious, so a few questions if I might: - When do you expect actual on-site drilling activity to commence with respect to this newly recommended program? - What results, emanating from this new drill programme, would suggest that the company really is closing in on a major ore body? - What elements or aspects of the exploration program conducted to this point in time do you consider to be of greatest importance to Falconbridge?
