I don't think that 3Com has any problems with perceptions of
quality and service.

The problem (IMO) is that ANALysts want to see 56K modem
sales NOW. They also wonder if the 56K market will
lose out to xDSL and Cable modems. That's another reason
they want to see x2 56K Modem $$ in the hand NOW.

AND because of the possibility of the 56K modem being
short-lived (in their non-tech minds), they want to see
3Com's product transition translated into $$. (The
beginnings of this is possibly what was most attractive
to ANALysts - IMO)

That's the message I'm getting from the ANALyst. Maybe
we can't blame them???
