I got some BENF shares today and am willing to take this highly speculative ride. Here's my DD and speculation so far:

The key post is from an SI member named "Boob". Read his post here:

Message 5074857

I don't know Boob well, but I've seen him in action before and my take is that he's a pretty good guy. He's a pretty down to earth guy which is a hell of a lot more than I can say for some of the blatant hypester personalities that one can find in the SI world.

Anyway, Herring, the link you posted refers to a SEC document dated April 30, 1998. According to our mysterious insider (Boob's email pal--see link above) the reason BENF was down so much in price was because of past problems like the SEC document refers to. All we do now is wait to see if there's more to this story (for example, that new management or owners are stepping in).

Obviously it is madness to treat BENF like a stock you can advise a good friend to invest in (unless that friend enjoys semi-gambling), however, I am heartened that the email to Boob was cogently written and carried a certain gentleness that made me think the author had a good deal of sincerity in his (or her) personality. Of course, the author may be unknowingly duped, but hey, that's the risk to the stock at this stage.

Final note: About a week ago, on June 26, BENF was up 400% on 854,700 volume. So the hype didn't start just today. For what it's worth...

Chris
