Good to see at least someone out there cares anymore.

Milestone payments coming:

Canada-$2,000,000.00--expected this month with aproval.

Europe (France, Italy, Germany, Spain) when these four european countries give approval (expected this year--probably sooner than later) Astra pays Vivus $2,000,000.00 for each country or $8,000,000.00 lump payment.

Vivus expects to gain approval in no less than 25 additional countries this year alone.

Japan--a tough nut to crack. Vivus will not do Japan alone--will cut a deal with another larger company who will do the additional research required and then will take take a milestone payment and a set unit price.

Old plant--Running at full capacity and cranking out 1.8 million units as before. Running 3 shifts.

New plant has 4 lines up and running but I don't know how many shifts.

Vivus will announce it's domestic marketing stradegy on the 9th--I do not know if they will drop the rentals or sign up with a larger player--I hope they dump them and sign up with J&J or Merk-Astra.

Some other countries expecting approval in the near future includes Mexico, Thailand, Tawain, Hong Kong(not a country but acts independent from mainland China), Russia, Middle East. Expects China towards the end of 1998 or begining of 1999.

Thats all folks! Have Pfun with your Vivus investment.

PS one final remark--the Analyst are clueless when it comes to earnings for Q2--a lot of wild guessing based on US scripts with little attention on international sales.
