Carl, forgive me for butting in. For free data try: investor.msn.com {just choose the free stuff}. The site will install a small amount of software to get the program running for you. Then setup a portfolio and then select a symbol and choose Analysis--Stock Research--Historical Chart. Once there, select your data options and then hit Import. If you are running Win95, you will find a csv data file in your Windows/Temp folder. The data will be in descending order. You may have to reverse it. This site works best with the Internet Explorer browser.

You can also get one year data files at dailystocks.com
I found its best to use Netscape to download from this site.

Good luck

Jay
