Paul, if memory serves one of my newsletters said the U.S. savings rate was at the lowest level in 58 yrs ( I want to double check b4 i quote him) Why save when the inflation of financial assets will bail you out. go ahead run up that debt you can pay off the loans with your stock market gains -g- these are just two of the maladjustments aggravated by the stock market bubble- consumption is increased due to easy credit and the wealth effect of a rising market and our savings rate is dismal.
