Dear gg and gild-erians- I'm glad to discover this conversation! I have been a gild-erian since I read "The Bandwidth Tidal Wave" about two years ago. I subscribed to the GTR and even became a bit of a groupie when I visited his secret gilder-cave and waved a hello to gg a year ago. I would like to know what some other enlightened technologists (-philes) think about the following companies/technologies: CYMER - the unchallenged leader of DUV (sub .25 micron) photolith light sources AMCC, VTSS, MMCN, PMCS - four companies making datacom ASICs, article a couple months ago in Red Herring(Moore cover?) Also, what other mags, sites, and books do you recommend? I read Infrastructure (Carl Johnson), InfoWorld, DataCommunications, Network Computing, TechWeb, and GMSV. Do any of you use Linux?
