What are they doing at Carlsbad? It's been said on this thread and not disputed that the TM contract is a "developmental" contract. It has also been more than suggested that Supershaft came too late in '96 to be among TMs product line for '97. When I mentioned that to Mr. Stoltenberg (see many posts ago) in the last 3-4 weeks, that was when he said to me, "I can't comment on that."

So yes...I remember all we heard about production gearing up in the renovated plant circa 9/1/96...but honestly, how many could they be making...for whom...and for what purpose? Testing? How many units do you need for that?
