Brian,

Japan was expected to become a significant market, and several dealerships were established. That projection will probably not materialize in the near future, and export emphasis has been moved to Europe and Australia, which is said to have major possibilities. Currency fluctuations will always affect export sales, but they do tend to swing in cycles. Over the long haul, they tend to cancel out.

I think it will be a fair time before Titan moves close to saturation of the US market, although they may not be able to sustain the vertiginous growth curve of the last few years. When they do reach that point, my own guess is that they'll open up new product lines at more moderate prices. Just a guess, but imagine, with Titan's reputation, what they could do if they really put their minds to creating the world's best $15,000 bike. I'd bet they could do plenty. I don't think we should assume that the company's future will be constrained by its present emphasis.

Steve
