Computer Networking Brief: Cisco (CSCO) charged ahead on speculation that stock might join the parade and announce a stock split... Stock has never traded above 100, though it closed within striking distance of the century mark yesterday (94 9/16)... Ascend (ASND) slipped more than one point as speculators growing nervous that takeover offer might not be forthcoming - at least not in next several weeks.
