Henry, I do not believe that what you wrote is entirely true. You wrote to Boob: "Be aware of a little quirk of the insider trading rules, by passing the information along you can be held responsible not only for what you make on this but what any one who acts on your post makes." I don't think so. The moment knowledge becomes public, in just about any form, people can act on it with impunity. There was a famous case some years back of the guys who took trash from a trash bin outside of a printing press shop. The printing press shop was known for having some corporate clients. The trash takers hit gold, finding corporate news that the company was not ready to go public with. The trash takers were taken to court and accused of insider trading. In their defense, they said that once the info was in the trash bin in the street it was public knowledge at that point. They won! To say the least, when someone reads something posted on SI, it's public knowledge so long as everyone--the general public--can access that web page (and the tip). Chris
