Dear Philip,
First of all, I am not your broker, so don't ask me to do your research for you.
Second, if you can't answer your own investing questions yourself, put all your money in a money market fund, where it will be safe.
Third, I am up 70% since I went back into the market at the beginning of March. Not exactly average.
Fourth, do not try to impose your flawed system of investing on me by asking me to analyze trends in IOMs sector.
Please forgive me, everyone, for having to repeat this. But apparently Philip does not keep up with the threads of the stocks he invests in.
As I have explained before in these threads, most of my investing success stems from the fact that I have developed quantititive models that evaluate momentum trends in things like margins, earnings and sales, and also measure value.
I do not purport to be an expert on sectors. Yes, I can parrot what I read in analysts reports as well as you or anyone on SI. Probably much better.
But I am not an expert on the trends. Before you flame me for this, let me say that I think you are a fool if you think you can be an expert on sectors. If you think you can know more than the analysts and mutual fund managers who have great access to information and teams of researchers, or more than the people in the businesses themselves, then you are delusional.
If you invest your money on the basis of your false sense of security that stems from your "knowledge," then it is no wonder to me that you are losing money on IOM and will continue to do so.
One other correction. I never take 'delight in other people's misfortune,' as you put it. And you have exceptionally poor perception to think so. It is very clear from my posts that I am here because I resent shills who try to abuse SI threads to talk up stocks to reverse there investing errors, and who try to run people off threads just because they want to bring the truth about a stock to the people.
Happy Investing!
