Remember, Scotsman, it's not chip sales, but number of chips produced that is the important metric for the fortunes of WFR and the likes of TSM and UMC. It looks like everyone is cutting capital spending and slowing ramps. This means a slowdown in die shrinkage. This means more wafers per given # chips produced. It may help to absorb the big overhang in production somewhat sooner than forecast, but I still expect it will be Q4 98 before the WFR really does more than wander in the wilderness.
