3COM to $40 next week. If they do the followings, 1. Sell the modem section to Amazon.com. Amazon is the only company in commodity business who can double its price in a month. After the merge, Amazon not only sells books, CDs, but also Modems. AMZN could surge $100 a day based on that news. At the same time, COMS announces that they no longer associate the M word. 2. Change the company name to "3.com" from "3com". By doing that, 3Com will become an internet play. If street can adjust their views on COMS from commodity business to internet company. $40 next week is an easy case.
