Steve, how can you take this scripture , " Luke 10:17-20 The seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, in your name even the demons submit to us!" He said to them, "I watched Satan fall from heaven like a flash of lightning. See, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing will hurt you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven." and say that Jesus was referring to the time during the creation process. Jesus was talking about the power He had given them over the works of Satan.
Satan was not cast out of heaven(God's presence) until the Messiah had completed His work on the cross, was resurrected and reenterred heavens glory as our Great High Priest. Satan then could make no accusation against God's people because the redeeming blood of the Christ had cleansed the heavenly temple.. Where The resurrected, purified, glorified Messiah lives, there can be no place for, satan.
