Look, I've been writing about Winstar for four or five years and always mention them as the key up-spectrum player at 38 gig. However, I doubt that they are really 2 to 3 years ahead of Teligent. This business will depend on multipoint radios (as they call them to confuse you) and the bottom line is that Winstar still has only a few hundred wireless buildings up, many just T-1, and a separate set of point to point radios for each connection. I am a 38 gig enthusiast, don't get me wrong, but I'm afraid that for one reason or another Winstar has not exploited its lead.
