Particularly when you lead the street to believe that you're 1) taking massive amounts of market share from your competitors AVNT, MENT, SNPS, 2) understating your revenue growth and being conservative in your accounting... And now we know that they weren't doing any of the above. My guess is that thier next accounting trick is to overpay for LU/Bell Labs EDA tools business, take a large "1-time" writeoff, and walla, beat the street numbers in the 3q98. Looking as if Jack isn't quite the magician that Joe was. Also, I can't wait until they refile to enjoin AVNT's Aquarius product. What a waste of time, money, resources...If I were a large CDN shareholder (and I'm not) I'd bitch like theres no tommorrow. Come on and get a new marketing strategy, the old one is get wearing thin.IMOO.
