I had my personal bad expirience with AOL's marketing effort.
After cancelling my account in July I suddenly discovered
that I got billed again in November. I immidiatly called
AOL's billing department and had unplesant conversation with
BD manager "Robert" (according to company policy they don't
tell their last names!!!). Anyway, I was told that their
marketing can call you after you canceled account to try
to convince you to change you mind. They don't keep any
records of these calls, they don't need any written confitmation.
They just ASSUME that you do WANT to change you mind
and since credit card information is already on file
they just BILL you!!! Now it's 9.95 but after December 1 it
will be 19.95. These are the BEST customers - they don't
use bandwith at all!!!! Now tell me how many people check
their credit card statement?

If anybody had the same expirience we should cooperate and
bring AOL to the court once again. Cheating customers is for
sure the easiest but not the best way to do business.
