I often work from Huntington, NY (Long Island). My new ISP does not have x2 there in a toll-free local area. But AT&T has (in Farmingdale at 516 577-3600). I maintain an AT&T Worldnet account for my daughter who is on her own and must use it because it is the only ISP with a toll-free phone number where she lives. I have tried to use her account whenever I am on Long Island. It is as bad as ever. I have found a new ISP with a toll free number for Huntington and now use it.

THE DISCONNECTS, POOR NETWORK CONNECTIONS, AND NUMEROUS OTHER COMPLAINTS ARE WORSE THAN EVER. THE LOSS OF CUSTOMERS HAS NOT IMPROVED AT&T WORLDNET PERFORMANCE AS I HAVE RECENTLY EXPERIENCED IT IN HUNTINGTON, NEW YORK. I imagine it is just as poor elsewhere.

WHO IS AT&T KIDDING? AT&T CAN REPORT ANYTHING THEY WANT TO REPORT. Their statements, are not supported by my own experience. As they decline in performance, AOL seems to be getting better and better every day as they continue to add modems and server facilities around the country.
