PX,

<<Several questions:
1. What all did you get?
2. What do you plan to use it for?
3. Analyse yourself as a consumer: why phone order instead of website?
>>

This is my 2nd laptop. I have been using laptops for 4 years as on-site client wok is an important part of of what I do. I bought the Inspiron 3200 PII/266, 96 MB Ram,512kb L2 cache, 13.3" active matrix display, 4.0 GB ATA ultra dma, 24X CDR, MeoMagic Video cntrllr, 56Kb pcmcia modem, 3d stereo surround sound (sound blaster pro) etc etc. I like the IrDA-1.1 compliant Infra red port and plan to get a mouse as I hate laptop pointer mechanisms. Software included is win,98. Price for all above is exactly 2499.52 with todays published exchange rate.

My use is going to be Internet roaming (available at a fairly inexpensive price here in Asia. I love the fact that so many hotels are installing internet ready connections in their rooms. Main use is on site computing at client related work sites. (I am a consultant).

I actually placed the order on the i-net but here in Malaysia (Dell's regional headquarters is here in Penang, Malaysia) it is neccessary to confirm by telephone AND fax. They send you a quote fater the config is confirmed that you must sign and return by fax.

Best,
Stitch
