I'm not entirely sure about the rise being from short covering only. Although the Street.com article raised some doubts, it also provided some free publicity, which was followed up by another CCSI announcement restating that it is working on "the deal," plus a "buy" recommendation by Janssen/Myers. btw, the J/M recommendation has not reached Yahoo News yet. Anybody know if it got wider release than briefing.com? All this publicity could be attracting buyers, or at least some short term traders like Ron Harvey. I would have to agree that longer term, if the "deal" fails to materialize, the stock will move back down.
