><>...Good evening Alan and Nancy...><>

I would like to relate to you a wonderfully warm story told to me recently.

A conservative Jewish woman had been married for some yrs. to a very conservative Jewish man. They celebrated all the usual Jewish hoildays and attended synagogue regularly.

After, I believe, eight yrs. of marriage and two children, they divorced. Some yrs. later at her place of employment she began to date her boss. She found out very soon after, that he was not a Jew, but a Christian. She then tried to avoid him, knowing she would be put out by her family if she continued a relationship with this man.

As it turned out he was very interested in Judaism, and asked her if he could go to synagogue with her. After many times of putting him off, she finally relented.

Their romance began to blossom as she realized that she might be able to get him to convert to Judaism, for then she could bring him home to her family.

After some months of attending synagogue and learning and practicing the Jewish customs, they were married. He promised her and her family that he would convert to Judaism, they were not at all unsure of his intentions.

His interest in Judaism grew and grew. He desired very much to become a Jew. He spoke with the rabbi and other Jewish leaders and they soon prepared a course of study for him. At the end of the study which would have been about 3 months later, he discovered that the last part of the study was a short paragraph which stated that he must renounce Jesus Christ as the Messiah.

He told his wife he would have to think about that. A very short time later he decided that he could not do it. She was very angry and could not understand why. She called her rabbi and told him. The next day the rabbi was at her house, and made appointments with every leader in town to meet at her house and talk with her husb. Her husb refused to allow it.

She became even more angry. She confronted her husb. and asked him, "who is this Jesus that you will let him stop you from converting to
Judaism?" He told her, He is God, my Lord and Saviour.

She set out to prove him wrong, thinking that if she could, then he would convert to Judaism. She again telephoned her rabbi to ask him of some questions concerning the NT, that she was now able to bridge to the OT, and began to see that Jesus was the one prophesied about in the OT. She told of how the rabbi had come to her house at 8AM and did not leave until 8PM, two days in a row.

Her words were that when he(the rabbi), could not get through to her, he called for "special deprogrammers", she sat with them for hrs. At the end, she was convinced that Jesus is the Messiah.!..Praise God, Praise God....How awesome are His way!

And they lived happily ever after.

God's grace and peace be unto you and Alan.
Shalom...><>
Anything new with your case yet?...May the strength and love of Jesus be always yours
