DD, The hubby and I are both running 98 plus IE....I am running a double monitor set up,....put in another video card, and have 2 full desktops...great for running real time quotes on one screen, and doing DD on the other...the mail alert, if you open your outlook express, go under tools, and then pull up options...you should be able to set it up to your specs.....if you have any questions or problems...please feel free to private mail me...the hubby has been running the beta version for a while now, and knows 98 pretty well....we have not had a problem with either computer..... REd
