When a company starts to make money it becomes POSSIBLE to fairly value them. It is impossible, IMO, to rationally and credibly evaluate these internet stocks. They are built on the shifting sands of a mania- will they be dominant players in 2 or 10 years? Who can say? As soon as it becomes possible to value these stocks by normal metrics, they will come down. At the moment they are dreams- and who can put a value on those?
