Look's like they changed their site around. They added a new section where you can order directly through their web site. Their offerings online were very limited before so this is a great sign of hope that progress is being made.

I found two flat panels that you can order. The one that you mention and the TFT450 for $1,149. The original one (FP???) you mentioned before maybe this one. If you want to check, try their #1-800-888-5858

Isn't it strange? I swear, Caisson, that before I asked about how to purchase Compaq's Flat Panel monitor here I tried and could not find it on the Compaq online store for home store. Then after you responeded with the link, I can could link to it. Now it disappeared again.
The only monitor available around that link is 17 inch regular monitor. Flat Panel link was displayed when I accessed after you posted the link but not now.

I do find another link to it in the Compaq business store, with a different price $1599. It is probably a different model from the one with the disappeared link.

Am I insane or does Compaq web site not make sense?

I saw 3 models of 14" or so Flat Panel display at the local CompUSA store: NEC, ViewSonics and another brand. One is $997 and two are $999. I might get one of those. Didn't see a Compaq one. I've tried enough to locate one.
