RE: <<Emerging stock newsletter>>
Let's be perfectly clear as to what the "Emerging Stock Newsletter" is exactly. This newsletter is a paid marketing tool for a small company. Small companies may have great ideas, services or products but if no one knows about them, no one is going to buy shares in these small new companies.
So what do these small companies do? They utilize the services of newsletters like "Stock Genie" , " Emerging Stock Newsletter", et cetera to make people aware of their services.
Note the language from the disclaimer by ESN at the bottom of ESN's review of VPRO....
"...All information is received directly from the profiled Company and/or outside interviews held by EmergingStock staff. EmergingStock assumes all information to be factual; however, EmergingStock does not warrant or guarantee the accuracy of this information....EmergingStock may have positions in the securities mentioned or profiled in this newsletter. EmergingStock may receive compensation for the dissemination of information and may have financial dealings with the companies profiled. EmergingStock received two hundred thousand dollars for the dissemination of this report and other services provided..."
Such a disclaimer doesn't necessarily mean the company is doing anything wrong per se. Many companies pay in some way or another for good PR. However, any investor should be fully aware of this disclaimer before they rush to empty their piggy banks and invest in VPRO.
One question that comes immediately to my mind is who the heck is
R. B. Management Company? (215) 321-5103 Fax: (215) 321-2257 P.O. Box 2 Morrisville, Pa. 19067 E Mail: Rburst2747@aol.com June 29, 1998
What is this company's track record?
Please also note that this company also received money for their favorable review.
"...R. B. Management Company received $5,000 and 10,000 free trading shares of the company for the preparation of this report...."
Again let me re-emphasize paying for these favorable reviews doesn't necessarily mean anything good or bad about the company VPRO.
An explicit statement made as to payment for PR, may actually be more forthright than the more typical quid pro quo's that typically occur.
However, I agree with Mr. Mazzarella that until more real news and information is available, buyers should view ESN's report with a little healthy skepticism.
ztect.
btw- does VPRO have a web site? |
