There seems to be ever so slight a tightening of the U.S. money supply, but not enough to make the Fed responsible for any deflation of equity prices.

The inflow to mutual funds is again slacking off, and with a record number of new security offerings to soak up new money, I look for a down day and a down week or two. At any time, if mutual fund managers grow uneasy and try to raise cash, there could be a very sharp correction, and as soon as investors start to withdraw cash from equity funds Papa Bear will take control and his presence will be validated by the Marketgauge indicators.
